Spring Beach Trip

After a long winter, we finally got to get away as a family! We went to Nana and Pop's beach house. The weather was perfect! Maggie and Joe both LOVED the beach. We also took a couple of trips to Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park. The photos tell the story of this trip...

Joe was a little unsure of the beach at first and didn't want to go off the towel, but after a few days he was all over the place! He loved playing in the little shallow tide pools.

Joe loves climbing over anything, so this pile of sand was perfect. He went back and forth, back and forth...
Awww, what an adorable beach girl! : )
Maggie's highlight of the trip was splashing in the waves with Daddy. She kept shouting "more water Daddy, more water!!!!"
She's also really into giving kisses right now. Sorry I couldn't resist these!

Our trips to Brookgreen were fun. We love the Children's Garden there. Somewhere in the blog archives is a picture of little Maggie looking at this fountain. I can't believe how much she's grown!!!
Maggie was very interested in the Spanish moss that was "Patricia's" hair.
A cute little kid-sized tunnel.Check out this alligator and turtle sunning together!!!
We never make it very far without needing a piggy-back ride.
According to Maggie, this was "Uncle Scott doing storytime". : )
This was on our second visit to Brookgreen. They were setting up for a wedding.
Awwww, love this guy!
And this girl too! This picture is SO VERY MAGGIE.

Finally, the last highlight of our trip, we visited the environmental center at the park, and took a nice walk. Please excuse the rugged look!

A rare family shot!
Sorry for the very lengthy post, but I loved reliving this trip!
